Actively looking for ways to utilize and commercialize rental housing sites in its position

Core Objectives

Overseeing, leading, and supporting Incheon’s urban regeneration and housing welfare projects
  • Planning (as a consultant): establishing municipal and district policies and supporting and advising on project plans
  • Project (as an implementer): implementing municipal and district projects including privately led Majungmul Project
  • Management (as a coordinator): overseeing, managing, and supporting each project by having a center specializing in each field
Promoting “customized housing welfare in relation to urban regeneration”
  • Revitalizing the local community inside the old town by adopting a renewal project in relation to the New Stay program
  • Specializing in and expanding a project that involves purchasing existing houses for rent
    • 2016 Pilot Project (106 housing units in Dong-gu, Nam-gu, and Bupyeong-gu: Assisting residents and private enterprises to improve their capacity to self-redevelop
  • Implementing the Pilot Project that involves providing tailored housing support (by leading a municipal rental housing service on behalf of Incheon Metropolitan City)
    • Five-district Project (185 housing units): in Manseok and Inhyeon (56 housing units under construction) and in Nonhyeon, Deokjeok, and Seongnam (129 in the planning and designing process)
Building Incheon-type infrastructure for “achieving Incheon’s urban regeneration and housing welfare”
  • Setting objectives and directions to revitalize Incheon through urban regeneration by clarifying the IMCD’s duties and responsibilities (an MoU with the Incheon Institute)
  • Developing a project called “IMCD-type public housing model (working title)” (an MoU with the Incheon Institute)
  • Developing a talent training program to achieve IMCD-type urban regeneration and housing welfare
    • 2016 Talent Training for Urban Regeneration (53 participants in the Urban Regeneration Society) and for Housing Welfare (20 in the Housing Welfare Society)
Commercializing the IMCD-owned rental housing sites by sharing creative ideas for the project
  • 3 national rental housing sites, 8 public rental housing sites, and more
